  • What is the difference between translation and interpretation?

    Interpretation is used for spoken communication such as meetings, conferences, and settings. Translation applies to any written documents such as briefings, transcript reviews, and websites.

  • How do I request an interpreter?

    Send an email to Belinda at belinda@tpiainc.com or by calling our office at (626)444-9600.

    Setting type, duration, Language, date and time information will be required.

  • Does your agency use certified interpreters?

    Arabic, Eastern Armenian, Cantonese, Farsi (Persian), Tagalog, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese are “Certified spoken languages in the state of California. Our agency only uses certified interpreters for these languages.

    All other languages are considered Registered spoken languages in the state of California. Registered languages interpreters still must be certified.

    Our agency uses certified interpreters for ALL languages.

  • What is the difference between a half day and a full day setting?

    A half day is 0-3 hours of reserved time. A full day is 3-6 hours of reserved time. Anything over 6 hours is considered overtime.

  • I am a certified interpreter, can I work with your agency?

    YES! We would love to get to know you. Send an email to ryan@tpiainc.com with your contact information, language, and certification confirmation to get added to our database of interpreters.
